It’s just me. I wanted to let you know that I’m doing great, so you need to stop worrying about me. This place is awesome, and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be with Mommy and Daddy again. Although it was very difficult to leave each other, I’ll always treasure the time we spent together and will never forget all of the memories that we shared. As you already know, we made one awesome team.
When I first arrived here, I was a little nervous and fearful, but there was a pit bull named Daddy that came to greet me right away. He wasn’t forceful, and he didn’t say a whole lot, but I just knew from everything you taught me that I should probably follow his lead. I did, Mom, and he’s been terrific! Daddy can’t jump and run like me, but he’s already introduced me to many other friends, and they’re really cool.
You’ll be glad to know that my legs are now working fine. I’m leading the run again today, and I can’t wait. The way it works here is we continue to start first, as long as we win the previous race. I’m undefeated so far and plan to stay that way. I also introduced the idea of post-run ice cubes to the rest of the runners, and now I’m quite the hero. Make sure to tell Shea—I know she’ll be proud!
I almost forgot to tell you that I saw Dexter and Garth today, and they both said to send you plenty of kisses. Dexter’s very busy and involved in all kinds of activities. Believe it or not, he’s married with two little ones who are as smart and well-behaved as their old man. Garth is another story. Because he’s been here for a while, he seems to know everyone. From what I’ve seen, he’s quite the charmer and has a different female companion every day. Obviously, they’re both doing well.
Mommy and Daddy are hosting dinner tonight for me and my friend, Sadie. You’d really like her—she’s thoughtful, cute, and really clean. The fact that she’s a perfect snuggler is an added bonus. Knowing your high standards, I’m absolutely positive that you would approve.
Sorry to make this short, but the ringing door is sounding, and I’m sure it’s Sadie.
Remember, Mom, no water drops—only happy thoughts!
By the way, thanks for sending Jeffrey. You always knew how to make my heart smile!
